Abstract
Despite their friendship, that both Miguel Torga and Eugénio de Andrade once assumed for each other, there isn’t, in their individual books, almost any explicit mention to each other’s work. Nevertheless, their poetry draws itself a similar attention towards nature, though Eugénio’s idea of nature isn’t very much the same as Torga’s concept of nature. In fact, while Miguel Torga describes, in his poems, the landscape aside from the subject, Eugénio de Andrade faces nature as a symbol of something else.
