Abstract
This essay deals with a main theme – friendship, one of the central themes of Daniel Faria’s poetry – in reference to three relationship instances:
a)    Achilles and Patroclus, or the eros of companionship.
b)    David and Jonathan, or the filia of alliance.
Jesus and the “beloved disciple” (or other metaphors similar to the Good Shepherd and the sheep, e.g.) or the agape (Caritas) of an offering sacrifice. It is intended to show the dynamics of the affection of friendship, as a sign of homoerotic “adolescence”; of egalitarian and responsible “maturity”; and, finally, as a “divinization” of the Love that serves and that serves and “gives its life” for a friend.
