The Revista Portuguesa de Humanidades (RPH) is a specialised periodic journal founded in 1997. It was created by the teachers and researchers in the area of Humanities – Linguistic Studies and Literary Studies – of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the Catholic University of Portugal, in Braga, as a semestral periodical.

Ten years afterwards, in 2007, the RPH underwent a double renovation, changing its graphic design, and opting for the annual publication of two separate volumes, one of Linguistic Studies, and the other of Literary Studies.

The journal is now investing more and more in its internationalisation, through a broad Scientific Comission , which comprises both national and foreign academics, by publishing articles from various countries and universities, and also by establishing a varied exchange system with similar periodicals, and above all by introducing a peer review system.
