11.2 A poesia de António Franco Alexandre ou «o signo de uma ausência no fundo das imagens»

JOÃO AMADEU OLIVEIRA CARVALHO DA SILVA

Abstract

The poetry of António Franco Alexandre presents stylistic options that are consolidated along the path of his already extensive work. The book Duende, apart from developing aspects that have arisen from the previous texts, is characterized by a quest for a “you” that, in the whole of the book’s 52 sonnets, is being searched in the frequently anonymous body, in the voices of others who cross paths in the poet’s text, in the virtual images, in the words.
That book, which presents as epigraph a text by García Lorca, draws relations of intertextuality with texts by diverse authors, originating a poetic discourse of complex interpretation and diffuses meanings combined with varied prosodic aspects.
